Milk Bundt Cake with Walnuts





  • 1 cup oil (or butter, melted)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk


  • 1 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped


  1. Heat oven to 160C.
  2. Beat together oil and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time and beating well after each addition.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and salt.
  4. Add the flour mixture to the oil mixture with the milk, starting and ending with flour mixture. Beat until well blended.
  5. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
  6. Bake 70 – 90 minutes or until toothpick tests with a few crumbs clinging to it.
  7. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Then invert onto wire rack to cool completely.
  8. In a small bowl, combine confectioners’ sugar and milk until there are smooth.
  9. Drizzle over entire cake. Sprinkle with nuts.
