
RECIPE (about 20 donuts)
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons yeast
- 1 teaspoons salt
- 3 3/4 cups flour
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 apples
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
Glaze:
- 3/4 cup confectioners sugar
- 1 tablespoon water or milk
- Make the dough: mix together the milk, yeast, little bit sugar andet the dough sit, covered, for two hours.
- Next, add salt, eggs, sugar, apples, flour, and butter and mix together with dough.
- When dough is ready, pull out 3-ounce pieces of dough and form it into a ball. Then poke your thumbs through the middle of the ball and create a hole. Stretch the hole so that it is about 3-inches wide.
- Place them on a baking sheet lined.
- Let the donuts rest for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Mix together the confectioners’ sugar with milk or water in a small bowl.
- Once the doughnuts are cooled, drizzle the glaze over them and let them set up.
